VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of the Onset Bay Association. We are run by volunteers; events are organized and staffed by volunteers, and it’s through the dedication and expertise of volunteers that we are able to support the community and local businesses year after year.

Any time you can spare is greatly appreciated! Plus it’s a fun way to meet neighbors and be part of the community.

The amount of time you spend at the OBA is up to you. It can be several hours on the day of an event, or several days helping to organize one; or maybe you would be interested in joining a committee to help manage the organization.

Event Volunteers

The OBA sponsors events all year long. Click here for the current list of events. We ALWAYS need volunteers on the day of the events. We need people to help set up, sell tickets and tee shirts, paint faces, provide information and clean up. We are very flexible; whatever time you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Fundraising

Do you have a special knack for raising money? We need you! The OBA relies 100% on donations to run the office and sponsor events. If you can help us identify donation and sponsor opportunities, we would love your help!

Committee Members

Interested in planning an event? We need volunteers to help organize and execute each event we sponsor. This usually involves meetings in advance of the event, as well as participation on the day of the event itself.

Office Assistance

The office at 196 Onset Ave. is open to the public for information and merchandise sales. Hours vary seasonally. The OBA is run entirely by volunteers. If you have some time to answer phones, answer questions, or just do some general office work, we would love to have your help!

Weed and Water

The Beautification Committee needs volunteers to perform weeding and watering at the Bandshell, on Onset Pier and around town. This does not require any specific commitment of time. We can use whatever time you have to give, at your convenience!

Junior Onset Bay Association

We are seeking young people between the ages of 12-18 to join the Junior Onset Bay Association!

This group meets monthly and members will help out with office and community projects appropriate to their age, and will be supervised by adults at all times. Young ideas and energy are needed!
